About The Moon

Tracking The Phases of the Moon

When we see the Full Moon, we are witnessing the completion of a 27.3 day cycle. During this cycle, the Moon goes though several different Moon phases.

The Full Moon Phase

During a Full Moon phase the Earth is aligned between the Moon and the Sun. So like a set of scales where Earth is in the middle, as the Sun descends in the west, the Moon ascends in the east.

IMG_4746

The New Moon Phase

During a New Moon phase, the Moon is positioned between the Earth and the Sun. This means that because Earth is no longer in the middle, the play of light between the Moon and the Sun, now prevents us from seeing the Moon. So the New Moon is invisible to us.

We are only able to see the Moon because of the sunlight illuminating each of the different phases along the 27 day lunar cycle.

The Gravitational Pull of the Earth

The Earth’s gravitational pull on the Moon, causes the sides to bulge and this in turn locks it into two revolving motions:

1)a rotational spin on its own axis which takes 27 days.

2)a revolving orbit around the earth which takes approximately 27.3 days.

You could say that the Moon is locked into position in a perpetual dance with the Earth and the two orbs in turn orbit the Sun over a 365.25 day cycle.

What is Synchronous Rotation?

As we have said, the Moon rotates on its own axis over a 27 day cycle. It also orbits the earth over a 27 day cycle: for this reason, the Moon appears not to be spinning, this phenomenon is called Synchronous Rotation.

Which Side Do We See?

The Moon spins on its axis such that the illuminated side is seen by all places on earth although at different angles.

Like Earth, the Moon has a North and a South Pole. We only ever get to see the South Pole because we are looking up at the Moon whilst it is rotating on its axis. It does not flip over to give us a view of the North Pole. We therefore only ever see  a projection of the ‘near side’ and the ‘far side’ is always invisible to us.

Solstice Book Release June 2017

27 May

NAMING THE TIME

Book four in the Amunet’s Fables Series of books will be released on Wednesday 21st June 2017, also known as the Sun of The North by the Dogons of Mali West Africa. They are referring to the highest position in the sky that the Sun will reach during the year. This day is also known as the June Solstice as described by the Latin term Sol, meaning Sun and Sistere meaning Stand Still. Taken together this term refers to the Sun appearing to stand still twice a year; in June after the longest day of the year, when it changes direction and the days become shorter and in December after the shortest day of the year, when the Sun again changes direction and the days become longer.

SLOW DOWN OR INTENSIFY YOUR EFFORTS IN THE SUMMER?

It is ironic that the Summer months are the busiest for the guardians of our sustenance  also called farmers, whilst the general population look upon this time as a time to slow down. Indeed it is import to relax and the appearance of the Sun shining brighter and longer in the heavens does remind us to slow down. However this should also be seen as an important time to tend to our projects, which were started during the creative phase of the Winter months, which we added to during the Spring by preparing the environment to receive our gifts. The Summer months should therefore be seen as a time to cultivate the best results possible ready for the harvest during the Autumn.

WHAT LEGACY WILL YOU LEAVE BEHIND?

The title of book four in the Amunet’s Fables Series of books ‘ The Door is Closing“, is a reminder to work hard to shape your reality before it’s too late. Late in the sense of returning to the Ancestral Realms, without having achieved your goals, without even attempting to discover what your destiny is.

CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT

26 Jan

The life cycle of a Butterfly involves struggle and through this process, it becomes more beautiful with age.

BARRIERS TO CREATING THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE
There comes a time in our lives when we realise that our journey into well-being will involve hard work and struggle.

To achieve the best results, we must put things into place. We must also be aware that struggle and prosperity are flip sides of a perpetual cycle.

When we are creating the story of our lives, we should know by now that life is a journey; there is always somewhere to go next and something to do next and someone to see next. We hopefully learn from our mistakes and identify the signs of impending doom based on previous behaviours, so that we can allow a situation to play itself out or take evasive action to achieve a different result. Self-sabotage is common to a certain extent in all of us, some more than others. It might be an idea if you have identified this, to get out of your way.

LIFESTYLE  SOLUTIONS  FROM  NATURE  SPIRITUALITY

The Lifestyle Learning Solutions technique uses nature spirituality to address the chaotic ways of being that we have come to accept as normal. The only time we take stock is when our nature loving spirits become overwhelmed. This often leads to high anxiety at one end and heart-related diseases at the other extreme, leading to premature deaths, as found by the World Health Organisation.

Dear Reader, this technique has been created for those like you who realise the benefits of investing in your self-help transformation. Once you commit to improving the condition of your life the rest will fall into place, but only if you take sustained ongoing action.

To this end, we have created three levels of engagement, using the cycles of nature to support you on your journey over a 12 month period and beyond. The three levels are:

INTRODUCTION

DEVELOPMENT

FULL EMERSION

Each level is incremental in time, intensity, commitment and investment in yourself. A discovery session has been arranged for those who are interested in discussing which level will best serve their needs at this time. We will call you back to discuss the options, so leave your best phone number when you send us your email.

Contact us for more information by sending a message to:

We look forward to providing you with a memorable learning experience. One that will make a difference and add value to all your endeavours.

Autumn 2016 At Stonehenge with Professor Kofi Kondwani

20 Sep

A Blue Water Family Review Of Stonehenge

During a recent Blue Water Family excursion to the Stonehenge monument, the following observations were made.

As many of you may be aware, there is much speculation about the purpose of the site and surrounding area. After our brief encounter, we can now add our own Blue Water Family review.

Undoubtedly there is something special about these stones. While we were there two things happened to convince us of this. Soon after cleansing our aura’s at the start of the visit, several birds descended on top of the stones and stayed there for several minutes before flying away again. This could of course be a regular occurrence, as it was approaching sunset. Nevertheless the timing was auspicious.

Birds on the Stones at the Stonehenge Monument September 2016

Secondly towards the end of the visit Professor Kofi Kondwani’s camera decided to display a moving blue dot which danced across his screen, whilst he was taking his final photographs. This he likened to a similar experience in Egypt.

In the final analysis we agreed that the stones could not, by any stretch of the imagination be compared to the great Pyramids at Giza in North East Africa or the one at Chichen Itza in Mexico South America. However we gave credence to the remote idea of a possible comparison of the site to the valley of the kings in Luxor. Why might this be the case? Well the number of burial mounds on the the approach to the stones and around the surrounding area, might be a clue.

TO GO OR NOT TO GO?
We would definitely recommend a visit to the Stonehenge Monument. As Professor Kofi Kondwani reminds us; what ever the reason was for the construction of the monument,

“… it [now] brings people together in peace and that is a good thing.”

When you do go, do feel free to submit your article to be included on the Blue Water Family review of ancient sites. A new feature to be included for all you globe trotters out there who like to share their stories.

You are welcome to leave a comment and tell us what you think.

We Would also like to take this opportunity to wish our readers Seasons Greetings and a Happy Autumn Equinox 2016. See you at our London gathering.
